Each liaison relationship is unique.   The following are examples of activities that library liaisons have engaged in with various academic departments.  Faculty interested in collaborating with the library should contact their assigned liaison.

  • Suggest possible library purchases, whether books, journals, databases, DVDs, or other formats
  • Attend campus-wide and departmental events
  • Create and update subject research guides
  • Offer orientation meetings for new faculty
  • Schedule workshops for new databases and other library resources
  • Collaborate with faculty on library instruction sessions for students
  • Review the collection, including during external reviews, to identify areas for development
